Energy

Energy  is very important in our life. We use them from the morning you get up ,till the night you go to sleep.

Some energy  is sustainable like sun (solar), water, geothermal ,biogas etc.

Water: Hydro power is used to produce hydro electricity . China  is  the largest producer of hydro electricity.

Geothermal energy: We know there is a lot of magma under the ground  that heat can be used . It can be used for heating houses in cold countries or heat water.

Biogas  : biogas is a mixture of organic waste . It can be used for cooking and power motor vehicles.

Types of Energy

There are 2  main types.

• Potential Energy

Chemical Energy eg: Natural gas, Propane, Petroleum, Biomas

Nuclear Energy eg: Nucleus of Uranium atom

Gravitational Energy: Water in a reservoir behind a hydro power dam

• Kinetic Energy

Thermal Energy eg: Geo thermal energy

Sound Energy eg: Any music, Any one’s voice – all these travel- so kinetic
